Who pays for the testing?

Since Asians (or any minority) compose a disproportionately small percent of the national bone marrow donor registry, the US government will pay for any person (health and age qualified) who is of minority race/ethnicity who wishes to sign up. Jonah's chances of a match are low because so few Asians are in the registry today. All of Jonah's bone marrow drives will offer testing to all donors for free, including those who are not Asian. Many will also cover donors who are not of minority descent, but wish to be tested at one of Jonah's drives. Essentially, the US government will pay the $52 to cover the test, so that the test is FREE for registrants on behalf of Jonah.
