I f you are willing to be a coordinator in your church/organization or in your city, the following information may help:

1. First Download the Chinese Flyer and English Flyer

2. Contact your Pastor or the Pastor or Head of the organization. Our experience indicates that we need people who are friends of the pastor/elders or head of the organization to contact them.

3. You can use the flyers or WWW.SAVEJONAH.COM to plead the Jonah case for the Church or an organization to sponsor a Bone Marrow Donor Register Drive.

4. If a church agrees to sponsor a drive, you should first get one or two tentative time and date.  Example, Sunday 10/6 or 10/13 from 11:00 am to 2:pm

5. Contact the Bone marrow registry people in your city. Or e-mail Mr. Song Huang at songannhuang@sbcglobal.net about your plan and he can get the bone marrow donor (BMD) registry people  in your area .to contact you and assist the drive.

6. The drive is supervised and assisted by the Bone Marrow Registry representative who will come to the drive and bring the sample taking kits and contact forms for donor registration

7. The sponsor organization needs to provide a place with 3 or 4 table and 4 or 5 chairs per table to accommodate donors to seat and fill out the forms.  Our experience indicates that people do not want to wait in line.

8. The sponsoring church or organization needs to provide 4 or 5 volunteers. (Obviously,  the more the better depending upon the size of potential participation.) The BMD representative will do a short 5 to 10 minutes training. No prior qualification is required. Just be courteous in assisting donor to fill out the form and answering simple questions.

9. Confirm the date with the BMD registry representative. Once confirmed, please e-mail to savejonah@yahoo.com  the date, time, and name of the organization, key contact, and address to be posted in the website for public participation

10. Ask the sponsoring organization to announce thru the flyers or e-mails to their members, friends or congregations a week or two ahead of the drive.

11. Donor participation is limited to age18-60(inclusive) and the registration is free to all registrants

You are qualified to be a coordinator if you are willing and are good friend of an Asian Church or an organization who can reach Asian community in your area or city. There are many cities which have large Asians yet we do not have any coordinators to inform the needs of Asian bone marrow registration.
